The Papercookie Picture Company is based out of Asheville, NC and consists of former NCSA Film students. They take a do it yourself approach to independent filmmaking, tending to shoot using small crews and mostly untrained actors on self funded low budgets, raised through such creative means as selling paintings online, having yard sales, busking on the streets, and living in their vehicles.
